You'll hear plenty of folks on here convinced it's the ethanol, or positive voltage, car color, or alignment of the stars but reality is nobody really knows for sure. What I do know from my research is that Z cars are unique. No other car of this era has this much trouble with the injectors which leads me to believe it's simply a poor design or bad materials. If you dig into my old general forum posts you'll find all the opinions. Here's an old post to get you started if you're really interested in trying to understand, but as far as I can tell there are really only two solutions: replace the defective injector (again) with a Nissan design, or replace the injector and all associated programming with a non-Nissan design.
